So, Rupert Murdock will go before the Select Committee today. Not that I think Mr Murdock is the Devil but what comes to mind is the phrase 'If you are going to sup with the Devil be sure to have a (very) long spoon' .
Frankly, it's politicians that are to blame for all of this. We have seen how prone they are - within the rules dear boy - to feather their own nest from the public purse. Power is very attractive. As someone has said 'Even nice people like power' so imagine what people thirsting for it will do. They should have kept their distance.
No-one forced politicians to jump in bed with 'News Corporation'. As for the leader of the opposition Ed Milibandwagon appearing on the news with the family of Milly Dowler - it's just totally sickening. He's an opportunist of the first order, but, because he has power as well there will be those keen enough to suck up to him. Mind you others might only get close enough to stick the knife in - et tu Brutus aargh!
Why should anyone be surprised that all this Hacktivity is going on - it's always been going on. Does anyone think Rupert Murdock is the first - not at all. Remember the Robber Barons. There's a Train on the wall in the Godfather film - it's there for a reason. It's business. That's doesn't make it right. But it's just sickening to see an all out onslaught getting to the Moral High ground.
More on this to come that's for sure. I guess politicians are seizing the opportunity to stick the boot in.
